It looked like a $1,000 airplane. Then came 56 bids, two cranes, seven hidden fuel tanks, months of work, and a $25,000 surprise.
Today, the aircraft stands on a foundation in El Paso. Its interior has been renovated. Its next life is taking shape as a future place to learn, celebrate, and imagine bigger.

The aircraft left El Paso International Airport in pieces. It survived cranes, trucks, rusted connections, a fuel-tank discovery, unexpected costs, changing roles, and months of careful work.
The fuselage and major sections were transported across El Paso.
A permanent concrete foundation was constructed beneath the aircraft.
The Boeing was pieced back together.
The interior was renovated and air-conditioned.

CURRENT STATUS
From Private Accomplishment to Public Readiness
The move proved the aircraft could reach its new home. The next chapter must prove it is ready to welcome the public. A Professional Engineer is evaluating what has been built and helping define the remaining architectural, structural, electrical, accessibility, egress, and life-safety path.
Required improvements, inspections, and Fire Marshal approval will be completed before educational experiences, tours, partnerships, or events are launched.
